PALAEMON
Fly fast. Find fast. Save lives.
Rescue-Ready in 10 seconds
The drone for sea-rescue operations: fast, precise, and ready to serve swimmers and rescuers

According to the National Rescue Society, between 2016 and 2021 there were 1,327 drownings in Italy: 857 along sea coasts and 470 in inland waters (lakes, rivers, etc.).*

In such emergencies, the first minutes are critical: within 2 minutes, a person may lose consciousness, and within 4–6 minutes, irreversible brain damage can occur due to hypoxia (insufficient oxygen supply to the tissues, especially the brain).
PALAEMON was created with a clear goal: to reduce the time between the alarm and the arrival of a lifebuoy to the person in distress, providing immediate support to the swimmer, visual assistance to rescuers, and reducing risks and difficulties caused by strong currents, waves, or crowding.

The drone’s rescue procedure also includes an automatic return to its take-off base after releasing the lifebuoy, where it can attach an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) and immediately deliver it to rescuers if cardiac resuscitation is required.

How it is equipped
Here's what makes it so special and unique
Parachute
Safety is a top priority, especially when there are human lives at stake.
Speaker
Placed under the drone, it is used by the operator to communicate with the swimmer in danger.
Lifebuoy
The self-inflating lifebuoy is the main feature of the drone. It will activate once released and in contact with water.
FPV camera
Placed on the front of the drone, the operator uses it to locate the drowning person and drag the lifebuoy to it's destination.
